About Johnston Mediations
Judy Johnston is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit and County Court Mediator. She mediates in all circuits via Zoom. In person mediation is also available upon request.
Judy hales from Minnesota where she is a licensed attorney. She was a trial lawyer for more than 30 years. She retired from her trial practice in 2015. She has tried more than 200 cases , handling both civil and criminal cases in State District Court. Judy has also handled civil matters in Federal District Court.
She is an accomplished trainer on both the local and national level. Her areas of expertise include advanced trial advocacy skills. She has developed and delivered week-long trial practice courses. In addition, Judy developed an ethics curriculum for prosecutors that was presented state-wide.
Her direct experience includes personal injury cases; police liability cases; child death cases; homicides; and other serious violent crimes. She has trained trial attorneys, social workers, medical professionals, victim advocates and law enforcement.
