Our mediation sessions are conducted online using Zoom teleconference. All you need is a stable Internet connection, a private space and a willingness to participate in negotiations. Parties join from their homes, offices or public libraries. If an agreement is reached, it will be reduced to writing and signed via Docusign by all the parties.

Zoom mediation allows for each party to be placed in their own private room. This can be particularly useful in high conflict mediations like some family matters where the parties want complete separation from one another.

In mediation, we focus on finding practical and creative solutions to tough problems. Unlike traditional court proceedings where a judge or jury decides the outcome, mediation empowers the parties to decide what is best for them.

Many cases referred for mediation are in the Court process. Some cases are mediated before a lawsuit is filed. Mediation is valuable to parties because it leads to quicker resolutions and usually costs substantially less than a formal court process. Mediation also allows parties to negotiate from separate rooms rather than be in the same courtroom. Mediated settlements can be less adversarial and promote mutual understanding.

If the parties are unable to reach a settlement, an impasse is declared. The parties then continue to work with their attorneys and usually move through the formal court process.
