Judy Johnston is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Family, Circuit Civil and County Court Mediator.  She mediates in all circuits via Zoom. 

Judy hales from Minnesota where she is a licensed attorney.  As a trial lawyer, she tried more than 200 jury trials, both civil and criminal, and has negotiated countless cases.  She is also an accomplished trainer, having developed and delivered advanced trial advocacy courses and an ethics curriculum for legal professionals.

As part of Johnston Mediations, Judy founded Family Mediation Alternatives.  She is passionate about bringing civility to the divorce process.  She recognizes that every family law case is unique and presents opportunities for creative problem-solving.  Judy specializes in thinking “outside the box” in helping parties reach agreements.

Judy also has experience in mediating disputes involving insurance coverage, contract terms, landlord/tenant cases, and much more.  She skillfully navigates conflict between the parties and helps the parties identify their most important issues.
